There is a demanding opening in the Technical Department of Mountain Zebra National Park for a permanent General Worker. The Technical Officer will receive reports from the designated participant.

Requirements
  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Driver’s license with code 8.
  • physically strong and capable of performing labor-intensive tasks.
  • No criminal history—the SAPS will verify this.
  • general understanding of air conditioners, refrigerators, tiling, painting, and geysers.
  • able to work a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
  • to support the management of civil building maintenance through established protocols and an operational setting.
  • to look into and fix issues that are technical in nature.
  • General and administrative, encompassing logbooks, reports, and timesheets.
  • management of the water and waste-water purifying facilities.
  • help manage the conduct of contractors on the infield and at camp sites.
  • upkeep of roads, water sources, fencing, and infrastructure.
  • Help in managing and maintaining every asset.
  • Help out in the park when needed for activities.
  • Follow the rules for occupational health and safety.
  • Inspection of vehicles and work areas.
  • able to work a flexible schedule.
Please Note
  • The chosen applicants will receive housing allowance; they will be expected to refrain from entering the park. It might be necessary for selected candidates to work on public holidays and weekends.
  • People with general work experience will be given preference.
  • It is suggested for candidates who have applied before to do so again.
